Welcome Kansas Citians

With the first of two elections that will ultimately decide the future of City Hall now exactly two weeks away, the time has come for voters to be aware.

Make no mistake, this election will be no ordinary trip to the ballot box. At stake is the development of our city and the resurrection of our downtown, which has seen nearly $4.5 billion in private and public investment poured into it in an effort to restore it to the prominent level it once enjoyed.

Aside from the serious issue-based nature of this campaign, the cluster of candidates who have entered the field will only increase the amount of research necessary for an informed and conscientioius decision.

Where, then, can Kansas Citians turn for objective and informative advice? The answer lies on your computer screen.

This web-log will serve as an information outlet over the next two weeks before the February 27th Primary election and beyond. Anytime a story breaks involving one of the twelve declared candidates, you'll find it here. With just enough time to spare, KCMR will provide readers with a detailed and descriptive profile of each campaign - who they are, what they stand for and what their vision for Kansas City truly is.
